Women and girls equally love to dress up in nice and vibrant colours for various occasions, and therefore the need for clothes is always on an increase for them. Regardless of the culture, religion or socioeconomic situation they belong to, the majority of the female population of the world loves to pick out new outfits and colour coordinate their attires for all social gatherings. Being a girl myself, I can vouch for the fact that dressing for success is a great motto to live by! At the same time though, being Muslim I have to bear in mind the limitations set forth by Islam when it comes to picking out the proper outfit.
So here I have decided to give out some free advice for all my Muslim gal pals out there about looking your best even while wearing Islamic clothes like abayas and hijabs. The first thing that you should be conscious about being a Muslim is to always pick out outfits that are modest and do not allow any sort of indecent exposure of the body. Now it might seem to many people that wearing abayas means being dowdy and boring. Yet that is certainly not the case, in fact it is the complete opposite. Wearing Girls jilbab and hijabs that are styled in a flattering cut and in complimentary colours can make you appear chic, stylish and modest all at the same time.
The most important thing about picking the right abayas for your self is the choice of colours. Not just those colours that compliment you, but also the proper colours for the event that you are attending. Wearing dark coloured Girls jilbab during the hot summer days for example can turn out to be quite a fashion faux. For the summer daywear, it is best to wear pastels, beiges, yellows and other muted colours that are not bothering to the eye. Summer evening wear abayas can be a little bit more dramatic with brighter shades of pinks, purples, greens and blue.
In contrast to the summer colours, winter day time abayas should be made of louder shades like magentas, browns and mauves blended with gray tones. These colours have a nice effect in the dark winter days and can liven up the mood a bit. Reds, burgundies, dark blues and rusts are great for wintertime evening wear. These colours have a rich base and when worn with the proper embellishment, can be very flattering for almost all skin tones.
So in order to create a look that is perfect for the occasion you are attending, make sure that you select a colour that is flattering and complimenting your skin tone. Choose shades that bring out the colour of your eyes and highlight your complexion, and you can be the center of attention anywhere!
